Synopsis

Earth: Final Conflict was a television series Canadian science fiction created by Gene Roddenberry . However, it was produced or issued until after his death. Had five seasons between October 6, 1997 and May 20, 2002 .
The original title was going to have the program was Battleground : Earth (in English Battlefield Earth ) , but the producers changed it because it sounded like Battlefield Earth , the title of the novel by L. Ron Hubbard. Majel Barrett, Gene Roddenberry 's wife , was the executive producer . He also appeared in some episodes embodying the character Dr. Julianne Belman . Barrett was in possession of notes Roddenberry about the history and the ideas that formed the basis for creating the series after the death of her husband. Another posthumous creation of Roddenberry was Andromeda .

Argument

The story is about an alien race from the planet Taelon that reach the earth three years ago with offers of peace , friendship, and the solution to old problems in the history of mankind (hunger , wars, diseases such as cancer , etc. . ) . As the plot progresses , we discover that they are not as powerful as they seem , indeed are a dying breed who has lost the ability to reproduce , and simultaneously at war with another powerful race called Jaridianos .
